Well here we are...it's June! This year has absolutely been flying by and I can't believe it's time to set some new monthly goals!
I decided for a June to keep it simple. I've been teetering on the edge of total derailment since I got back from Colorado last Thursday (post coming soon about my trip!) I don't know what it is but I'm just struggling to get back into my routine of tracking and exercise. I'm hoping the goals I've set for myself in June will help inspire to get back to what works.
1. 65,000 steps a week.
I've been doing really well getting my steps in everyday and I want to make sure I continue this level of activity and establish it as my "new normal" for daily/weekly movement.
2. Complete weight training 3x/week.
With the steps going well, I know I need to add in more targeted weight training to get even more results.
3. Use only APs (activity points) for weeklies.
I find myself using my 49 weeklies as an excuse to eat like a crazy person one or two times a week and I want to encourage myself to "earn" those special food moments and be more disciplined with point usage.
4. Try 3 new recipes.
It's time to shake up the dinner routine!
5. Maintain during trip to Hawaii.
It's very unrealistic for me to expect a loss during a vacation, but I also don't want to go nuts and gain 5 pounds. I know I can still have a great time and allow myself chocolate covered macadamia nuts and piƱa coladas without eating the entire island!
I find setting goals for myself at the start of each months helps me focus and reset...and believe me, I need it this month!!!
